Job Description
As a Chemical Process Engineer at ACCI Specialty Materials, you will play a crucial role in scale up optimizing our batch production processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the highest product quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and uphold operational excellence. This is a hands on position, you will be working in the plant with the reaction processes and taking the appropriate readings. Quite often, you will be wearing full PPE.
Requirements
- Design, develop, and optimize batch process unit operations for specialty chemical production.
- Implement Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process efficiency and minimize variability.
- Conduct FMEA's and PHA's as well as LOPA's
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for batch operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
3-5 years of hands-on experience in chemical process engineering, specifically in batch operations and unit ops.
Six Sigma certification.
Strong knowledge of batch process unit operations and equipment relevant to specialty chemicals.
Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
