We are looking to hire top talent to join our dynamic team! ND Paper offers full benefits and a competitive compensation. We are currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team reporting to the Technical Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work.
- Reduce costs; complete cost reduction projects that provide significant savings through product substitution, reduced variability, improved quality, and higher operating efficiencies.
- Improve and optimize processes; provide assistance to production areas in evaluating changes to operation; aid operating personnel to better understand their processes and quality problems encountered.
- Assist in developing new products; includes planning and running in-mill trials; interacting with Sales, Technical Field Service, and customers.
- Assist production areas with troubleshooting and other assistance as needed.
- Work closely with hourly crews in developing or changing procedures to improve safety, operations, cost, quality and efficiency.
- Adhere to safe work practices, good housekeeping, follow-up and correction of unsafe acts and conditions, participate in mill and departmental safety programs and meetings.
- Work beyond normal work schedule as necessary to fulfill position responsibilities.
- Provide on-call and weekend duty coverage within a designated rotation.
- Carry out other responsibilities related to position as required.
