Job Summary The Project Engineer is responsible for leading large-scale capital engineering projects across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role manages projects from initial planning through execution and completion, coordinating resources, budgets, timelines, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of complex manufacturing and infrastructure systems.
What You’ll Do Manage major capital engineering projects from inception through completion, overseeing the full project lifecycle Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and execution strategies Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and plant teams to ensure project success Estimate project costs, manage financials, prepare purchase orders, process invoices, and track budgets Organize and oversee complex system installations across multiple facilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system diagrams to ensure project specifications are met Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on progress, milestones, and risks Support and execute smaller-scale projects while gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing environments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field or 5+ years of experience managing large-scale engineering projects 3+ years of project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and large system installations (e.g., HVAC, manufacturing systems) Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manage complex project timelines and budgets Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners Experience supporting or managing multi-site engineering projects Willingness and flexibility to travel 50–70% and manage travel schedules independently Strong interest in learning manufacturing processes and contributing to innovative engineering projects
