Position Overview:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced Project Managers on mechanical construction projects in an industrial setting. Interns will gain hands-on experience at job sites, learning the fundamentals of project engineering through real-world applications. The role is designed to prepare interns for future full-time roles as Project Engineers by developing skills in communication, scheduling, document control, and field coordination.
What You'll Do:
- Job Site Exposure: Spend significant time on active job sites, observing and assisting with daily operations, safety protocols, and project coordination.
- Project Support: Assist Project Managers with tracking project progress, managing documentation, and coordinating with field teams.
- Material & Equipment Coordination: Help monitor deliveries and inventory of major equipment and materials.
- Document Management: Learn to maintain project documentation in compliance with company standards and contract requirements.
- Technical Review: Support the review of drawings, specifications, and RFIs under the guidance of the project team.
- Scheduling Assistance: Collaborate with field supervisors to help organize and update project schedules.
- Safety Participation: Attend safety meetings and support the implementation of safety procedures on-site.
Learning Opportunities:
- Gain exposure to estimating, writing submittals, RFI's, change order processes, and subcontractor coordination.
- Learn how to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and field personnel.
- Understand the basics of mechanical systems and construction workflows.
- Participate in internal project planning and review meetings.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in industrial construction and project management.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and willingness to learn construction software tools.

Required Licensing and Other Certifications:
