Description
Fast-growing corrosion engineering firm, located in the San Francisco East Bay Area. Looking for a qualified professional with some corrosion engineering and cathodic protection (CP) experience. AMPP/NACE CP-2, CP-3, or CP-4 preferred. BS in engineering/science is preferred but not required. The job includes office and field-related services on CP projects throughout the Western States, mostly in Northern California. Must have knowledge of corrosion theories, CP testing, investigations, and data analysis, data processing, engineering reports, some CP design, use of various CP testing equipment, and a basic understanding of protective coatings.
Requirements
Office and field tasks, CP tests and investigations such as GACP and ICCP checkouts, electrical continuity tests, pipe and equipment corrosion inspections, use of test equipment and computers, Auto-Cad knowledge is a plus. Must have a legal work permit to work in the US. Resident card and US Citizenship is a plus. This job is full time on a contract basis and not as an employee. We will provide all field testing equipment and a vehicle (truck). Applicant must have a driver's license with a clean driving record. We may require (run) a background check on the applicant. Applicant is required to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with some overtime.
