Iosil Energy Corporation is uniquely positioned in the solar industry with a breakthrough technology for the production of high purity polysilicon, the essential raw material for solar cells.

Cost leadership, is key to success in solar energy and is a fundamental strength of Iosil's business. Founded in 2007, its research and development facilities have been located in the National Institute for Nanotechnology In Edmonton, Alberta.

The company has demonstrated its ability to produce high-purity solar grade polysilicon from the waste material (or “kerf”) created by wafer sawing operations, saving costs.

High purity is valued by the solar industry as it results in much more efficient, higher power solar cells. As much as 45% of the polysilicon produced is lost in wafer sawing operations and represents a huge cost savings opportunity for the industry.
