AFB International (www.afbinternational.com) was founded in 1986, and has grown to be a worldwide leader in superior scientific approaches and advanced technology driven to help our customers maximize performance in an increasingly competitive marketplace. AFB International is headquartered in St. Charles, Missouri, about 30 minutes west of downtown St. Louis, Missouri.
Company History
AFB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc. (www.e-bind.com), a privately-held, family owned, professionally managed technical business that traces its roots back almost 175 years, to 1836. AFB International has a worldwide presence, with state-of-the-art facilities in the United States, the Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina, and Australia through a joint-venture with Inghams Enterprises. We develop and produce a full range of liquid and dry palatability enhancers using high quality ingredients that have been proven to optimize companion animal response and consumption. Over the last few years, we have increased our capabilities through various activities including the acquisition of NutriScience Technologies’ pet food palatant business in 2006, as well as a partnership formed in 2009 with Ganeden Biotech Inc. to offer palatants containing probiotics.
