Founded in 1905, the National University of Singapore (NUS) is the oldest institute of higher learning in Singapore, as well as the largest university in terms of student enrollment and curriculum offered. It is ranked 1st in Singapore & the whole of Asia, and 25th in the world by the 2020 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and 11th in the world by the 2021 QS World University Rankings. NUS was named the world's 4th (first in Singapore) most international university. In the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020, an annual ranking of university graduates' employability, NUS was ranked 24th in the world.
Spanning three campuses, NUS is an innovative, research-intensive university with over 42,000 students from 100 countries enrolled in its broad-based curriculum covering a full range of subjects from the humanities to science, engineering and medicine. It also thrives on a research base of more than 20 university-level and other affiliated research institutes.
