Founded in 2010 to pursue opportunities presented by its novel technology, SHINE will manufacture and sell medical isotopes into an existing $1 billion worldwide market that serves over 55,000 patients per day in the United States. SHINE anticipates producing molybdenum-99 to meet half the US market demand by 2015. With 10 employees and a laboratory in the Middleton Business Park just west of Madison, SHINE received financial support from angel and venture investors, the Morgridge Institute for Research and US Department of Energy to help us meet our goals and solve this urgent national health care need.
