Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox specializes in intellectual property law. Centrally located in Washington, DC , we have developed an international reputation for high-end excellence through ethical, honest and unbiased advice and the development of high caliber legal professionals. Our intention is to help new associates become an integral part of a client's patent prosecution, general counseling, licensing and/or litigation projects.
The building blocks of our practice are legal experience and technical expertise. More than half of Sterne Kessler lawyers have earned Ph.D,s in science and engineering – credentials wide and deep enough to fill the faculty ranks of a science-oriented university. The firm focuses in the protection, transfer and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Our industry-savvy attorneys work in teams to satisfy the needs of clients that work across a diversity of technologies We represent a broad range of clients that include emerging and established companies, venture capital firms, universities and select individuals.
Sterne Kessler experienced 40% attorney growth in 2007, moving from 72nd to 53rd on the Legal Times 150 D.C. Metro Area’s Largest Law Offices of 2007. We plan to continue this upward trend in 2008, which also marks the firm's 30th Anniversary.
