Company History

May 18, 1897: The Dow Chemical Company is incorporated, based on Herbert H. Dow's plan to manufacture and sell bleach on a commercial scale.

The company has continued to transform over its' 100 year history and has a vision to be the most profitable and respected science-driven chemical company in the world. Our mission is to passionately innovate what is essential to human progress by providing sustainable solutions to our customers.
