About WVU Research Office
The research enterprise of West Virginia University is diverse, richly talented, progressive, and focused on the goal of making people’s lives better in the highest tradition of an American land grant institution of higher education. Ever since it was founded, WVU has remained committed to that goal from biomedical research to energy research and a hundred areas in between.
The faith, resources and cooperation invested in our University are complimented and strengthened by hundreds of faculty researchers and students who are obligated by mission; determined by tradition; and focused by heritage to aggressively pursue the opportunities and tasks they have undertaken.
The Office of Research and Economic Development is dedicated to assisting WVU researchers in advancing their results, and putting that knowledge to work improving lives.
The West Virginia University Research Corporation Human Resources (WVURC HR) Office exists to support research infrastructure and economic development opportunities at West Virginia University (WVU) by providing flexible, responsive recruitment and employment services for its sponsored activities. It is the goal of the WVURC HR Office to capitalize upon strengths, to help its workforce anticipate and meet the needs of the research community in its markets, and to value employees through effective communications, courteous, responsive, and enthusiastic service.
